The 600 in motion

Snap together. Slope built in.

Each pre-sloped channel drops in and locks to the next with tongue-and-groove slip joints—no couplers. The grate line stays level with your finished surface while the molded invert carries water down a continuous fall—then discharges through an end outlet or a bottom outlet, whichever your site needs.

Schematic of a four-channel run discharging through both the end- and bottom-outlet options. Slope shown exaggerated for clarity—actual molded fall is 0.7%.

The all-purpose workhorse

What is the SwiftDrain 600?

The SwiftDrain 600 is a 6-inch-wide, pre-sloped modular trench drain built from gray HDPE. Channels snap together with tongue-and-groove slip joints—no couplers—to capture and carry surface runoff at engineered flow rates across driveways, parking areas, warehouses, washdown floors, and pool decks.

It is the go-to choice when a project needs the strength and longevity of a concrete trench system without the slow, costly pour. Each channel arrives molded with a built-in 0.7% slope, sequentially numbered, and marked with flow arrows, so a crew can drop in a true, self-draining run and back-fill the same day.

Built to drain hard and install fast

Engineered details that save labor on site and keep water moving for the life of the run.

Engineered flow rates

A 0.7% molded slope and 2.5″-radius invert move up to 379 GPM per foot—no guesswork forming a fall on site.

Snap-together install

Tongue-and-groove slip joints lock channels together with no couplers. Units are numbered with flow arrows for a foolproof layout.

Won’t float

Integral rebar anchors lock the channel into the concrete surround so the run stays put during the pour and over time.

Chemical & temp resistant

HDPE shrugs off harsh chemicals, hot washdown, and freeze-thaw cycles—ideal for breweries, kitchens, and exterior runs.

Loads to Class D

Paired with a ductile iron frame and grate, the system carries forklifts and truck traffic at loading docks and warehouses.

Deep custom configs

Channel depths from 4″ to 24″ and neutral sections extend runs past 1,000 linear feet on a single layout.

SwiftDrain 600 vs. a poured concrete trench

Same drainage performance. A fraction of the labor, weight, and schedule risk.

Slope

Molded-in 0.7% fall vs. hand-forming a slope and hoping it holds.

Weight

Lightweight HDPE sections two people can carry vs. heavy formwork and pours.

Schedule

Set, anchor, and back-fill in a day vs. forming, pouring, and curing.

Finish

Consistent factory profile and grate seat vs. variable field tolerances.

How it ships

A complete kit, engineered to fit

Each base unit is one 48″ channel with two 24″ grates. Add inline catch basins, end and bottom outlets, filter baskets, and your choice of grate—all dimensioned to the 600 platform so nothing needs field modification.

Runs extend to 256 ft of continuous slope, or past 1,000 linear feet by adding neutral channels. Tell us your layout and we’ll return a take-off and a same-day proposal.

Choose your grate

Six grate materials, one channel

Pick the grate by the traffic it carries and the environment it lives in. Every option drops onto the same SwiftDrain 600 channel, and iron grates reach a Class D rating when paired with the ductile iron frame.

Grate material Traffic / load Best for
Polymer (7 colors, 2 patterns) Pedestrian & light traffic Patios, walkways, pool decks, residential
Galvanized steel Pedestrian to medium Driveways, light commercial, plazas
Stainless steel Medium · corrosion & sanitary Breweries, food & beverage, washdown, chemical
Ductile iron Heavy · Class D with frame Warehouses, loading docks, forklift & truck traffic
Cast iron & decorative Medium to heavy Commercial entries, streetscapes, decorative runs
Bronze Architectural High-end architectural & feature installations

Slot styles include horizontal, vertical, ADA-compliant, heel-proof, decorative, and forklift-rated. ADA and heel-proof grates are available across most materials.

What load class do I need?

Match the grate and frame to the heaviest wheel that will cross the trench. The SwiftDrain 600 spans Class A through Class D—most site, commercial, and industrial applications.

A
Pedestrian

Foot traffic, cyclists, pool decks, patios.

B
Light vehicle

Cars, driveways, residential parking.

C
Light commercial

Curbsides, commercial lots, light trucks.

D
Heavy duty

Forklifts, loading docks, trucks · ductile iron + frame.

Not sure which class your traffic falls under? See the full load-rating guide or send us the vehicle and we’ll spec it.

SwiftDrain 600 frequently asked questions

What load class does the SwiftDrain 600 support?+
The SwiftDrain 600 spans Class A through Class D. With polymer grates it handles pedestrian and light traffic; paired with ductile iron grates and the ductile iron frame it reaches a Class D rating for forklifts, trucks, and loading-dock traffic.
How is the system supplied and how long are the channels?+
Each base unit is one 48″ (4 ft) HDPE channel with two 24″ grates. Channels arrive pre-sloped, sequentially numbered, and marked with flow arrows, and connect with tongue-and-groove slip joints—no couplers required.
What is the maximum run length?+
A single continuous-slope run reaches 256 feet. By adding neutral (flat) channels into the layout, total run length extends past 1,000 linear feet while maintaining drainage performance.
How does it compare to a poured concrete trench drain?+
It delivers comparable drainage and durability with far less labor. The molded 0.7% slope removes field-forming, lightweight HDPE sections are easy to handle, and a crew can set, anchor, and back-fill in a day instead of forming, pouring, and curing.
Are ADA-compliant grates available?+
Yes. The 600 series offers ADA-compliant and heel-proof grate options across most materials, including ductile iron, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and polymer—so you can meet accessibility requirements without changing the channel.
Is it suitable for breweries and chemical washdown?+
It is. The HDPE channel resists harsh chemicals, hot washdown water, and freeze-thaw cycles. Stainless and ductile iron grates resist corrosion and are easy to sanitize, making the 600 a strong fit for breweries, food and beverage, and chemical environments.
What outlet sizes are available?+
Universal end outlets configure for 3″, 4″, 6″, 8″, and 12″ pipe, and a bottom outlet adapter lets the run discharge straight down where end fall is limited. Inline catch basins offer additional side-outlet options.
How quickly can it ship?+
Most SwiftDrain 600 items are in stock and ready to ship. Send your layout or linear footage and we’ll return a take-off and a same-day proposal with lead times for any made-to-order grates or frames.

Get a same-day proposal on your run

Grate Selector

Every 600 Series channel is a 6" pre-sloped HDPE body that accepts the same grate frame. Filter by material and by the traffic you need to carry, then open any grate for full specs.

The system is only as strong as its weakest part. The HDPE channel body is rated to Class B on its own. To reach Class C–D for commercial and forklift traffic, use a cast or ductile iron grate with the SD‑632‑F ductile iron load frame.
